David Spearman, 57, first picked up a paddle 40 years ago when pickleball was part of a gym class in his hometown of Seattle. He didn’t pick up a paddle again however until a shoulder injury sidelined him from tennis 4 years ago. After shoulder surgery, I wanted to continue to compete and pickleball gave me that opportunity.

 

Now living in Atlanta, David is back to playing tennis competitively again but pickleball takes priority. I have been playing 4-5 tournaments a year but with the tours (PPA & APP) now available, I hope to play 10-12 events in 2021.

In addition to representing Eleven-O-South, David also works full time as the Land Manager for D.R. Horton Homes in Atlanta. David plays out of Windward Lake Club and North Georgia Pickleball Club.

David took first place in the 2021 U.S Open in Senior Pro Singles.
